The life, times, and contributions of Edgar Cayce will soon be conceived in musical form, thanks to a recent commission by the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) with Broadway talents Michael Cooper and Anton Dudley.

The new American musical Sunfish, with music by Hyeyoung Kim and lyrics by Michael Cooper, received the top Jury Honor for Music Theater Production at the Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF).


The story of "Simcheong," revolving around a girl and her single-minded devotion to her blind father, is considered by some to be the most "Korean" of all Korean folktales.



Sunfish, an American musical by the songwriting team of Michael Cooper and Hyeyoung Kim was awarded the top Jury Honor for Music Theater Production at the Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) on July 8, 2013.
